Land Rover Air Conditioning Service

Your air conditioning should be serviced every 18-24 months to make sure that it’s operating efficiently. Allowing your system to run low on refrigerant results in the compressor having to work twice as hard, meaning that it could wear out in half the time.

Your air con efficiency can be maximised by making sure you run the system whenever there’s the slightest need in hot or cold conditions. Regular use will prevent the system's rubber seals and gaskets from drying out and cracking - a common cause of leaks. You should be aiming to run your system for at least a few minutes every week. Contrary to popular belief, it doesn’t greatly reduce your miles per gallon.

At James French.com we take your Land Rover through the following steps:

  • Refrigerant recharge
  • Air-conditioning cleaner to get rid of any smells and kill bacterial build up.
  • Visual inspection to check for leaks.
  • Refrigerant recovery to evacuate air and moisture.

If in doubt why not ask us to do a free air con performance test? The service takes about one hour - one cuppa!
