    Personal, efficient and fair

    In my experience the team at James French are knowledgeable, organised and fair. They clearly know their chosen range of products very well and this has instilled great confidence. I had the sense that the vehicles sold are selected to be good examples for their type and thus sold with confidence. The character of dealings was very personal and in that way much differentiated from some of the bigger dealers and chains. Very good and I would gladly return.

    This is my first Land Rover, Took it in for a new timing belt, auto box firmware and wheel allignment. What excellent service, costs were also suprisingly low! All in all, I would recommend these people in a heartbeat!!!

    Water ingress issue

    We had a serious issue with our 2017 Discovery 5. The windscreen had become de bonded letting water into the electrics that stopped the cat totally. An issue Landrover are fully aware of but didn't want to know. The team at james French could not have been more helpful, Chris was excellent and couldn't do more to sorting things out; Another it touch two attempts to resolve, it wasn't the teams fault electrical issues can be like that. I couldn't recommend them enough, to sort out complicated issues or indeed service.

    The guys at James French resolved an ongoing issue with the tow-bar on my Jaguar F-Pace at very short notice. It was my first dealing with them, and it was a delight. It makes such a refreshing change to find a car dealer that really values customer service. Will certainly be returning when I am due my next service.

    Made an appointment to view a car on the first day after covid 19 lockdown. Told the agent I was keen to purchase and they booked me in along with my contact details. Turned up on time to be greeted by we've sold it! When I explained I had a pre booked appointment I was basically told tough it's gone. I'm staggered people still operate in this way. What a mercenary individual. They couldn't even give me the courtesy of a phonecall to stop my wasted journey of over 2 hours for the round trip.

    Dear Mr Caton we are very sorry the vehicle was sold only half an hour before you arrived to see it, we understand your disappointment but we only remove a vehicle from sale with a deposit and commitment to buy, you could have easily not wanted it for any number of reasons and coming to see a car is not enough commitment for us to remove it from sale.

    Traveling up to Charlbury last Sunday, experienced a failed ley shaft bearing in my TD5 Defender gearbox. On the Monday phoned around to find a LR specialist in the area and was recommended to try James French. They couldn't be more helpful and fitted the repair into what I imagine what is a very busy schedule . Problem sorted at what I think was a very reasonable cost. Would highly recommend. Thanks All.
